As a result of the book’s popularity, Stan has become well recognized locally as one of the top financial advisors in family law. Stan continues to promote mediation and collaborative divorce as an alternative to a litigated divorce. Many times, he is the financial advocate for the less well informed in divorce cases, providing understanding to complex financial issues and helping clients make difficult decisions that affect the rest of their lives.

Stan’s second book, When Work Becomes Optional, was released in July 2018 and is on pace to become another best seller. This nonfiction book provides valuable information for those nearing retirement, already in retirement, or caring for family members in retirement. A primer on Social Security and Medicare, the five stages of retirement, income distribution planning, elder law, income taxes, as well as dealing with the emotions of life’s changes throughout retirement. In addition, the book helps retirees make better decisions about their lives and maintain control over life and not leave difficult decisions to family members, friends, or strangers.
